BBQ Grill Cleaning and Related Resources
Here are some grill-related resources and recommendations to enhance your care and grilling experience with your gas grill
Stainless Steel Cleaners
We have tested countless stainless steel cleaners, and these come out on top for ease of application and performance.
- Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser - 13oz - Great for removing tarnish and light surface rust.
- Microfiber Cleaning Cloths - Use these with all cleaners, and clean with the grain or brushed finish of the stainless steel.
Grill Brushes
Don't expect a grill brush to last forever - we recommend replacing these every six months or so. Listed below are some Weber-branded grill brushes, but you can search for other tri-twist grill brushes. These bristles do not fall out and are a lot less likely to break off.
Our suggestion for keeping your grates clean is to turn your burners to high for 10 minutes after grilling, then shut them off. Once the grill is cool, or the next time before you grill, thoroughly brush the grates. Doing this often and not allowing excessive buildup helps. Rather than a wire-bristle brush, you can also use a 5-in-1 scraper, similar to what is listed below, to remove stubborn buildup on the grates.
Grill Covers
We’re often asked about grill covers, and in many cases, the manufacturer’s cover doesn’t meet our customers’ needs or expectations. Here are a few grill cover companies you may find helpful:
Other Grill Service Experts and Professionals
We strive to serve as many customers as possible, but we have limited service areas and do not work on all grill makes and models. If you need a local grill service expert in Atlanta or elsewhere in the U.S., this directory can help you find one.
Atlanta-based Friends and Businesses
Here are some Atlanta-based businesses we frequently recommend to our clients.
- Hearth & Braai LLC - Outdoor Kitchens and Fireplaces
- Kalahari Electrical Services - Residential and Commercial Electrical Services

Resetting A Propane Regulator
We receive calls almost daily about propane grills that won't light or have a low flame. Our first recommendation is to reset the regulator. Here are the instructions for resetting a regulator.
1. Turn off the gas at the propane tank.
2. Disconnect the hose from the propane tank.
3. Open the lid of your BBQ Grill.
4. Turn all the burner valves to high.
5. Wait for 2 minutes.
6. Turn off all the burner valves.
7. Connect the gas line back up to the propane tank.
8. Turn on the propane tank slowly - VERY SLOWLY for 1st turn.
9. Light the grill using the proper ignition sequence.
